Original Article (Thu 11th Feb, 2021 16:00 GMT): Celebrations surrounding Pokémon’s upcoming 25th anniversary continue, as it has now been announced that Pokémon Sword and Shield will soon receive a special Pikachu.

Starting from 25th February, players will be able to get their hands on a special variant of Pikachu that knows the move ‘Sing’. Pikachu cannot usually learn Sing, so this digital rodent will truly be one-of-a-kind.

A special code that will let you receive the Pikachu will be shared on that date, so make sure to stay tuned for updates if you’re keen on adding this one to your team. Last year, Sword and Shield players could also claim special Pikachu wearing a variety of hats inspired by Ash Ketchum, the protagonist of the Pokémon anime.
