It’s time to head to the Xbox Series X|S optimised war zone of Thunderflash

Stop what you’re doing for a minute, hold tight on that Call of Duty: Warzone and put a halt to proceedings in Battlefield – there is just one war zone you should be part of, that of Thunderflash.

Thunderflash is the latest indie title to come to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch via the porting team of Ratalaika Games. Having been developed by those at Seep, Thunderflash now comes to console, setting its sights on a new breed of player. One that is looking for new Xbox Series X|S optimised fun.

As you would expect to hear from any game that has that Ratalaika tag attached, this is a cheap purchase too and by scrounging together a mere £4.99 will find yourself given the chance to be thrust into a brand new battle arena, one that has been put together and inspired by the retro games of yesteryear.

Whether you are playing solo or teaming up with a friend through local cooperative play, Thunderflash is covering the bases required of any fun little shooter. You’ll be able to choose to play as either Rock or Stan – two hardcore names if there ever were some – as you go up against the military might of the Bloody Wolf. You see, it is this criminal organisation which is looking to rule the world and you are the only two folk deemed cool enough to stop them.

Expect to find Thunderflash providing what you need in terms of weaponry too, with some serious firepower in place to help you take down waves of soldiers, vehicles and drones. With the action being played out in a top-down fashion, and the inclusion of a Boss Rush mode when the time calls, this could well be unbelievable value for money.

Our full review of Thunderflash on Xbox will be with you soon, but if you want something different from the higher ‘quality’ war events, Thunderflash may well suit. Get over to the Xbox Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S purchases, the Nintendo eShop if you like the Switch and the PlayStation Store should you wish to play on PS4 and PS5.
